During this year’s Automaticon trade fair in Warsaw, the second edition of the Polish Soldering Championship took place. 4 finalists of this event will represent our country at the World Soldering Championships in Munich.

The success of last year’s edition and considerable interest were a very strong magnet this time too. A large number of professionals, specialists as well as students and amateurs of soldering have arrived at the Championships.

On the first day of the Championship, only students from technical schools participated. It is a group that is only just gaining the opportunity to learn about the most modern technologies of assembly of components and standards applicable to the production of electronics. The skills of this group of competitors were evaluated by a representative of PACE, Johan Wallentin, who also presented prizes to the participants taking places 1-3.

The second and third day were dedicated to the employees of production and service companies. Such a competition formula provided both participants and spectators with great emotions, additionally heating up the atmosphere of the trade fair itself. Here, in turn, the level of the completed units was evaluated by Andres Ojalill from the IPC organisation together with other members of the Judging Committee consisting of 5 IPC trainers.
